William Heath Davis
This house was used as a hospital at one time The secret room where one of the owners had a distillery We had a lot of activity in this room History William Heath Davis House The William Heath Davis house resides in the Gaslamp Quarter of
San Diego. Having been shipped around Cape Horn and assembled in 1850,
it is the district’s oldest surviving structure. It has housed
many interesting people over the years, from the founder of San Diego,
Alonzo Horton, to a German Spy and pre-civil war soldiers. At one
time the house operated as a County Hospital. It was moved all over
Downtown San Diego before settling down at 4th & Island in 1984.
