Villa Montezuma

History

Villa Montezuma
The Villa Montezuma was built in 1887 for Jesse Shepard, a celebrated author, spiritualist, and musician. The huge Victorian house represents the Southern California “Boom” of the 1880s. It has been deemed one of the most fascinating and highly imaginative building still standing in San Diego.

One of the most beautiful houses to tour.

The woodwork is outstanding and the stained-glass windows are breath-taking!!
