Long time independent paranormal investigator, Jerry Reynolds, is known for his continuous study of the Long Beach, California, RMS Queen Mary historic ship and is a regular contributor of evidence to the sdGH website.
Much has been written about the infamous paranormal activity present on the RMS Queen Mary located in Long Beach, California. Some would gladly label the classic luxury liner built in the mid 20th century a floating phenomenon. With years of experience seeking answers to its elusive secrets, independent investigator, Jerry Reynolds, might agree.
Having assisted Patrick Wheelock of Beyond Investigation during his Friday midnight Paranormal Investigation Tours aboard the ship for a few years, Jerry often gets a front row view of the curious happenings the Queen regularly offers.
Not usually open to the general public but visited regularly by Pat's tour group, Boiler Room No. 2 is now a vast open cavity that once housed a set of water boilers that generated power to the ship's engines. A possible period workman apparition viewed by Pat, recorded anomalous enviro sounds and remarkable multiple EVP captured made for an exciting late night for all who attended the April 23, 2011 tour.
Climb aboard and find Jerry's evidence as recorded by digital voice recorder and video camera, along with photos and comments describing the events.

As the last Boiler Room No. 2 vigil comes to an end, Pat Wheelock's late night tour group gathers itself and makes its way to the exit doors. Jerry and his daughter say goodnight to whomever might have chatted with them. "It's been nice talking to you", Jerry voices kindly. What follows is an amazing EVP that appears to be given by an extremely emotional woman. Jerry and his daughter (who can be heard saying "yeah" at the recording's end) are the only two people present. The EVP is repeated three times.
Approximately 1:15am | Saturday, April 23, 2011 Pat Wheelock and his tour group investigate an enclosed room known as the "Green Room" located at the forward portion of Boiler Room No. 2, approximately 125 feet from the main room where Jerry Reynolds remains behind and is alone.

Queen Mary historic ship boiler machine room noises: Long Beach, California
As Jerry investigates the main portion of Boiler Room No. 2 while the tour group is huddled in the Green Room some distance away, unusual mechanical thrashing sounds beyond familiar compressor noises are heard within a machine space located at lower portside. This recording presents the noises Jerry finds so unusual.

After experiencing unusual thrashing noises within a machine room located at lower portside, Jerry leaves his video cam behind and approaches the compartment where he calls out to any spirits that might be present. After asking, "Anyone here?", the response, "Right behind you", can be heard coming from an unknown source at the 13 second mark.

Approximately 1:45am | Saturday, April 23, 2011
The tour group completes their investigation of Boiler Room No. 2 and exits into the ship's exhibit hall. As Pat turns back to look at Jerry, he sees what appears to be a male figure walk past the entrance door, within the boiler room and behind Jerry.
Immediately assuming it was an unauthorized ship visitor, Pat immediately entered the boiler room and with the help of the tour group, did a thorough search for the individual. Nobody was found and Security was called to further the search..
Looking toward the boiler room exit doors that lead to the ship's exhibition hall. The spot where Jerry is standing represents the general area where Pat Wheelock saw a possible apparition pass by as he stood in the Hall looking back through the doorway.
Pat Wheelock of Beyond Investigation discusses spotting a possible apparition:

Pat Wheelock describes what he saw as the mystery person passed by the boiler room doors. Jerry Reynolds also relates in the recording an experience of his own with a similar looking possible apparition. sdGH tech director, Matthew, also would like to note he was present on a past Paranormal Investigation Tour when Pat took view of a mysterious individual. Like the character described here, the male figure immediately disappeared without evidence of his leaving. Offered here is an edited version of the full length recording.
Approximately 2:30am | Saturday, April 23, 2011 After looking for the individual who was the possible source of Pat's apparition, Security was called to further the search while Jerry accompanied retiring tour members to the ship's exit. When Jerry returned, he joined his daughter, Pat and three remaining male tour members for one last Boiler Room No. 2 vigil.
Below are two fascinating EVP captured during this time.

As the vigil comes to an end, the group gathers itself and makes its way to the boiler room's exit doors, Jerry and his daughter say goodnight to whoever might have chatted with them. "It's been nice talking to you", Jerry says. What follows is one of the most amazing Queen Mary EVP the sdGH team has received. It seems to be volunteered by an extremely emotional woman. Jerry and his daughter (she can be heard saying "yeah" at the recording's end) are the only two people present. The EVP is repeated three times.
The following submissions have been provided to the sdGH team by Jerry Reynolds and represent additional anomalous material gathered during past Queen Mary Paranormal Investigation Tours and personal investigations.
Queen Mary historic ship "Goodnight, Jerry": Long Beach, California
Jerry Reynolds, independent and regular investigator of the RMS Queen Mary Historic Ship in Long Beach, California, was aboard the infamously haunted liner early morning July 31, 2010 when he received a friendly goodbye from an unknown entity.
"This EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) was captured as my assisting duties for Patrick Wheelock of Beyond Investigation's midnight Paranormal Investigation Tour was coming to an end. As the tour group moved ahead and I collected my equipment, it appears someone offers me a "goodnight" as I exit the propeller box, an area where an exposed ship propeller is viewable to the public. The voice is clear and crisp, so no enhancement is necessary to understand it. The spirit voice sounds feminine and shows intelligence as it reacts to my exit."
Queen Mary historic ship enviro noise and "I was the one": Long Beach, California
[ evp | real time | unknown ]
Independent and long-time Queen Mary Historic Ship investigator, Jerry Reynolds, captures a fascinating recording while assisting Beyond Investigation founder and tour guide, Patrick Wheelock, during a late night-early morning Queen Mary Paranormal Investigation Tour. As the tour group conducts an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) session in the ship's forward cargo hold, what sounds like footsteps are heard on the deck above. Jerry departs the group and proceeds upward to locate a possible source. While all sit quiet, echoed banging is heard in this completely isolated and locked-off portion of the ship.
Jerry captures the continuing banging noise, Wheelock's inquiry as to the sound's source, and the possible EVP of a female claiming credit for the sounds: "I was the one."
Queen Mary historic ship "None": Long Beach, California
[ evp | real time | unknown ] Recorded by independent and long-time Queen Mary investigator, Jerry Reynolds, this EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) was captured as Jerry and a guest are investigating an area toward the front cargo hold not usually open to the public. The two are talking about why people visit the Queen Mary and some of the ghostly phenomena that is experienced.
Apparently, there might be an entity near, joining in on the conversation. A deep voice is heard barking "none", either mimicking or confirming Jerry's spoken "none" at the 13 second mark.
The below two entries have been pulled from sdGH tech director, Matthew's, written experience shared with Jerry Reynolds at GhostFest Expo 3 on the Queen Mary. It was an eventful time that can be reviewed in full detail here.
Queen Mary historic ship bobby pin throw: Long Beach, California
[ evp | real time | unknown ]
Warning: Explicit language
The Queen Mary bobby pin throw incident is one of the more robust investigation experiences sdGH tech manager, Matthew, has experienced. During a first and third class pool area women's changing room vigil with regular Queen Mary investigator, Jerry, and Haunted Voices Radio Network special equipment developer, Brian, a simple hair bobby pin was possibly "thrown" with great force into a changing stall occupied by Brian, barely missing him.
As you listen to this unedited clip, an anomalous metallic sound can be heard at the 6 seconds mark. The group then chats about the sound in hushed tones as a security guard checks for unlocked pool entry doors. The team discovers the bobby pin and an attempt to duplicate the sound is made.
One note of interest: There is an explicit EVP word shouted at the 1:38 mark that is detailed in the next audio evidence entry.
Queen Mary historic ship 'F-word' expletive": Long Beach, California
[ evp: class a | real time | unknown ]
Warning: Explicit language
As the group explores the source of the startling noise originating from Brian's stall, an EVP of the F-word is shouted close to Matthew's recorder. On first review, it was thought one of the investigators blurted it, with Matthew first being fingered, but it would have been out of character for anyone in the group to use this language during a vigil.
All three recordings were collected and a compilation clip made to compare each captured EVP. One can hear Matthew speaking to Brian as the event occurs, taking both of them out of the equation and the EVP's strength is weaker on Jerry's recording, excluding him as the source.
EVP guru Todd Bates of Haunted Voiced Radio Network analyzed the recording and confirmed it is truly EVP. The word in question was recorded at 87.3 hertz, well below the level of human hearing. The group could not have heard the word being shouted when recorded nor could have recorded the word by their voices.
