Leonis Adobe

This adobe was said to have been built as far back as 1844 and had been remodeled in 1880 by then owner Miguel Leonis into a breathtaking Monterey style mansion. Leonis, known as the king of Calabasas, enlarged the original adobe and upgraded it by adding more rooms and an upstairs balcony. In the living room today, you can still see the family portraits in their exact locations from Leonis’ era.
Miguel married an Indian widow known as Espiritu Chijulla. They had one daughter named Marcellina. After Leonis passed away in 1889, Espiritu lived in the adobe until her passing in 1906. To this day descendents of Leonis still live in the surrounding areas of the Leonis Adobe.

Paranormal Pictures

Upstairs Bathroom

This was the only room that showed EMF activity and flucturating temperatures the night we were investigating. The majority of activity appeared to be centered here in the bathroom and in the downstairs kitchen

Pink Orb

Several members of our group smelled roses before snapping this picture. We actually have several pictures with the orb moving up the stairs

Black Shadow

In the living room of the Leonis we had several pictures with a black shadow moving through as we sat around a table.
