The San Diego Ghost Hunters || sdGH || Investigations || High Tech High International Investigation: High Tech High International
Dates: 05-05-11, 05-13-11, 6-4-11
Location: San Diego, California
Web resource: hightechhigh.org

Truly one of San Diego's most unique matriculation experiences, charter high school, High Tech High international, is not only home to an innovative coalition of administrators, faculity and students, but to regular reports of high paranormal strangeness. Disembodied crying, full-bodied apparitions and object manipulation have been experienced by students, teachers and custodial staff as they go about their everyday activities ever since the campus opened in 2004 in what was once a naval training center anchor foundry.

High Tech High InternationalSo, if you were a teacher surrounded by regular other-worldly activity, what would you do? Make the its study a class project, of course!

The sdGH team was contacted by teachers, Jill Chiondini and Jeff Major, and asked to guide their ninth grade students through the proper protocol of true paranormal investigations to determine if there is a basis for what has been experienced. The students also video interviewed the team and researched the property, then warpped it all together with found evidence as a semester-ending class project and presented to their peers.

The investigations took place over a two week period with the approximate fifty students split into two overnight investigation teams. This made for smaller student groups and the ability for sdGH to investigate more than once.

Was it an unforgettable experience for all involved? Yes. Is the High Tech High International campus haunted? We will let our evidence present a case it very well might be. One thin is defintite: With this investigation sanctioned by High Tech High administrators, faculty and parents alike, the school has cemented its reputation for being one of most innovative high schools in the country. We believe this might be the first project of it's kind in America.

Much of the best EVP captured by the sdGH team are not gained from structured EVP sessions, but when recording devices are allowed to run continuously as the team interacts with their environment. Unfortunately, that means EVP is at times interrupted by member voices or movement, but an overall higher yield is gained helping to determine what activity might be present. The use of headphones is highly recommended.
