Hunter’s Restaurant

Located in Oceanside, this restaurant is well known for its prime rib dinners and cabin-like atmosphere. It first opened under the name The Jolly Ox in 1967. Later, it was bought by the chain Paragon Steakhouse Restaurants Inc. and named Hunter’s.
This restaurant was built on a early burial ground. There are many stories concerning the burial sites. Some say the coffins were moved to the side and that some were relocated to another cemetery in the area. Some of the staff and regular customers have stories to tell of ghosts and other strange happenings.
